Hotel Scoop feature

The Dove Inn was recently featured in Hotel Scoop online. Here’s what they had to say!

If you’re looking for a feel-good B&B check-in, with hovering hosts, you’ll not get that here. But you will still receive amazing accommodations with a more hands-off “Air BnB / hotel approach.” Check-in is fully automated.  Raise your hand if you’ve lost your room key. Raise your hand if you dislike long lines at check-in.  Yep, me too. Well, you’re in for a seamless check-in. On the day of check-in, we received a text (late morning / early afternoon) with two codes to access the Dove Inn and our Aspen suite. More information was also sent to my email. Both included a description of our room and directions to get to our room — up the stairs and second door on the left. Easy peasy and no lines, nor lost room keys.

Voyage Denver feature

By Dove Inn on February 17, 2020 in Media Coverage

The Dove Inn was recently featured in Voyage Denver, a publication that loves highlighting  small businesses, mom-n-pops, and hole-in-the-walls. Here’s a excerpt:

Libby and Regan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We bought the inn in November 2017 after spending the summer touring the space and dreaming of it’s potential. We both love Golden and Regan has an interest in real estate, so when this gem popped up on the market, we knew it was special.

We spent the first few months of ownership doing a full renovation, which wasn’t new for us, BUT our hope was to honor the Victorian roots of the house and that WAS new!! We did a lot of research about that era and what spaces would have looked like back then. It was super fun and totally out of our normal design aesthetic.

Be Our Guest: 3 Stylishly Historic Bed-And-Breakfasts

By Dove Inn on November 18, 2019 in Media Coverage

The Dove Inn was recently featured in Sacramento Boomer Magazine! They said,

The eclectic design strikes a perfect balance between farmhouse fresh and classic Victorian—think exposed brick walls, tufted sofas in bold hues, original wood floors, and a hand-built belt fan in the living room—that you’ll absolutely adore. An automated check-in and checkout system isn’t only easy but means no awkward encounters or forced conversation with the innkeepers and a sense of total independence. Whichever room you choose (there are 10 total), you’re in for a treat. Though sizes and styles vary, you can expect a space with funky light fixtures and furniture; white marble tile, brass fixtures, and glass showers or soaking tubs; and crisp, high-quality linens. Come morning, help yourself to a cup of Joe at the custom-built coffee bar that even includes a cold brew kegerator, in addition to kombucha, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, and gluten-free goodies—all sourced from area purveyors—before taking on the town’s nearby hiking trails, breweries, or historic downtown district. Between the adorable details, hip décor, and proximity to the town’s main drag, The Dove Inn is indeed “golden.” Why We Love It: Nitro cold brew and kombucha on tap; modern amenities like flat-screen TVs featuring Netflix; and the behind-the-scenes service model. Perfect For: Design lovers who go gaga for modernism and minimalism.

Quiet, quaint and moves more at a weekend pace

By Dove Inn on September 8, 2019 in Media Coverage

The Dove Inn was featured on the blog “Gent Life” where they said, “If you seek something a little different, might we recommend venturing to neighboring Golden, Co. where this 1866 Victorian inn is quiet, quaint and moves more at a weekend pace. Not quite an AirBnB, not quite a boutique hotel but something in between. You are left to your own devices in a house built by one of Golden’s original mayors. Seriously, if you’re looking to slow your pace… this is your dream come true. We will be back! PS- We stayed in the Serenity room and it felt like we were spending the night at a family member’s house.. ”

Rise and Shine Darlings

Enjoy your last night as a single lady with all of your bridesmaids. Consider reserving a hotel suite or bed and breakfast to have one last slumber party in. Enjoy telling stories of the past while doing face masks and taking fizzy bubble baths to ensure everyone is refreshed for the morning. When you wake up, you’ll all be in one place making relaxing and starting the day off right carefree.

If you’re tieing the knot near in Denver, CO, The Dove Inn is a great option. With its one of a kind charm, you’ll want to capture all of your getting ready moments there from hair and makeup to zipping up your wedding gown.

Sips and Snacks

Start the morning off with a big glass of water (hello hydration) and coffee if you need a little pick-me-up. Order some pastries and goodies from a local bakery like Yours Truly Cupcake (pictured) — while you may not feel hungry, it’s important to fuel your body for the big day ahead. Light bites such as macarons, tea sandwiches or croissants are a good option.

Before getting ready, pop a bottle of champagne to kick off the celebrations! Then, enjoy some fun cocktails. Mimosas are a great simple drink but if you’re looking for something a little more special, try this Rose Raspberry Sorbet Cocktail.
